Girls Night Out - Makeup

Following on from my post a few days ago I thought I'd show you guys my favourite look for a girls night out. I'm big into smoky eyes, and usually like to keep the lip as nude as possible because when I'm out drinking and dancing - so much can (and has) gone wrong with a bold lip - see the photo below!

I tend to go for browns because I feel like they accentuate my green eyes better, and I usually prefer matte shades except for very special sparkly occasions. For this particular time I used my new Naked 2 palette, shades Foxy, Tease and Busted starting with Foxy up to the brow line, Tease all over the lid and then Busted as a line in the crease and in the corners. Using my Lancome shadow brush to blend. I then usually finish off with a thin line of Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Liner in Black 1 under my eye, Lancome Le Crayon Kohl inside and more than a few coats of my favourite Lancome Hypnose Star mascara. I don't tend to put liquid liner on my eyelid unless I'm wearing lashes because it can make my eyes look much smaller because they are quite beady.

Occasionally when what I am wearing doesn't suit a brown base, I will use silver and black shades in the same way although it's much harder finding a good nude base that compliments them. For that colour base I use my Bourjouis Smoky Eye Trio since my amazing Accessorize palette smashed and was discontinued :( The Bourjois also comes in a brown colour set, so if you're wanting to try this look without committing to the Naked palette that one is a good place to start.

I finished the look with some ELF lipstick in shade and some Lancome Juicy Tubes Lipgloss in shade 95 - Marshmellow Electro.
