Spring Haul Part 2: New Look

If you have read a few of my posts before you can probably guess I am a BIG New Look fan. They embody everything I look for in a clothing brand - fun, colourful, classy, affordable and well fitting. As a size 14, it can often get quite awkward because clothes from 'plus size' retailers aren't really aimed at my shape, but then you're on the bigger edge of who high street stores design their clothes for. With New Look this isn't as much of a worry to me because they have a variety of styles and fabrics to suit and flatter every shape.

I have been buying so much for work recently I decided to go for some more casual items that I can wear on 'dress down Friday' or at the weekend. I have been so into the whole 'sports luxe' look for ages now - which for me means really oversized jerseys, leggings and trainers. Weirdly wearing the masculine cuts makes me feel smaller and feminine. I think it's a really cute and comfy trend. I have wanted a button down baseball shirt for ages but when I spotted this imitation in New Look and thought it would do the job for now. It's so comfy and a really good length on my arms. At £15 it didn't break the bank - which a real team shirt would have done!

My other purchase was this skater skirt, which was a steal in their spring sale at just £5! I've wanted a red skirt for ages but tube skirts just aren't flattering for me so as soon as I saw a skater cut, I was sold. A lot of my wardrobe is blues, monochrome and red at the moment so it will fit in nicely and I'd wear day and night. I love tucking things into skater skirts because they bring you in at the tiniest part of your waist.

So there you have it, part 2. Have you spotted anything good in New Look lately? What's your favourite on the high street?
