3 ways to wear River Island white cleated sole platforms

Kavita from She Wears Fashion created a monster when she showed these amazing shoes on her blog a month or two ago. She went through a phase where they were in every post and just managed to make them look gorgeous no matter what style she was rocking. I was so desperate for them but they were sold out in stores and online so after checking back every day I was beginning to resolve myself to a life without them. Then my birthday rolled around and I opened a huge prezzie from my boyfriend to find these beauties nested inside a beautiful leopard print shoe box – needless to say I was very excited.

One of the reasons I wanted these shoes was not only that they were all I loved in shoes (chunky – tick, high – tick) but was that they could be so versatile. Being white which along with pastel pink is definitely going to be my colour of the summer, I knew they would just go with everything and they’re not so over the top glamour that they couldn’t come out during the day. Here are three ways I’m planning to wear them:

Girly Work Look:
I will team up with this amazing Tesco dress, with mesh panels for a summery update to my work wardrobe. I've added my New Look mint blazer to keep it smart. The chunky platform heels should keep me comfy all day and I love how they look with this dress. Perfect and girly. Although sadly the dress is a little tight so think I'm going to have to shift a few lbs before I wear this out...

Date Night Look:
These will also go with my new favourite trousers of the day to jazz them up for a nice dinner out. I’ve  teamed with either this simple sheer white tee from Primark to flash a little flesh if it's a date night although personally I'd probably stick to the safe option with a cam.

Girls night out:
In all honesty these would go with most of the dresses in my wardrobe but for girls night out I’ve chosen to keep it classy with this Topshop pink peplum skirt (£10 sale bargain) and cute H&M crop top. The shade of pink works perfectly with white and I think the top gives it a really soft finish especially with the gorgeous lace back.

So there we have it. Three ways to wear these summery platforms although I’m sure I could have gone on with several more. I will definitely be revisiting Kavita’s blog again to see how she's wearing them next... They're now back online here on River Islands website and can tell you they are well worth the buck.

So what do you think of the shoes? Let me know how you’d wear them in the comments!
