Urban Decay Electric Palette Review and Swatches

Urban Decay Electric Palette

Last week I got a very exciting email from my favourite new website Cohorted. The idea behind it is by buying in bulk you can get a better price, so once you're signed up you have the chance to join 'cohorts' to buy your favourite make-up at discounted prices. My email announced that amongst this weeks items was Urban Decay's latest palette the 'Electric'.

I was drawn to this when I saw its release on the bloggersphere because the colours were so exciting, but I didn't really think I could justify £38 for such a niche product that isn't necessarily for every day. So when it appeared on Cohorted for a wonderful £27 I knew this was my chance to snap it up.

Urban Decay Electric Palette Swatches

As is standard with UD, the pigmentation is excellent and the colours are so unique and bold. Teamed with their primer the shades I've worn so far are fantastic and long lasting and there is a great mix of mattes and shimmers. I'm really looking forward to trying some bold looks with this palette and I'll be road testing how much mileage I can really get - so I'll be sure to share them with you. I know I'm going to get loads out of the purple and blue shades as they compliment my green eyes well. The look below is the first one I tried this weekend blending 'Fringe' with my L'Oreal Color Infallible in Innocent Turquoise. You have to keep your lips nude, because otherwise I've found it can be quite 'drag'.

Which is your favourite shade? Have you tried cohorted ? Let me know what you think in the comments.
