My first lip crayons - Revlon Colour Burst Matte Balm

Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm, lip crayon, shade, sultry, complex

I know, I know I'm late onto this one but I've never been all that sold on the idea of lip crayons. Now everyone from Barry M to Clinique have an offering but what really caused me to give them a try was my everlasting search for matte lips.

I picked up the shade Complex originally potentially as that illusive matte nude, and then because Revlon was on a 3 for 2, I grabbed Sultry as a nice berry for Autumn. I'm not going to go into too much detail because I'm sure you have read it before but these are great for on the go. So easy to apply and minimal touch ups needed throughout the day.

Now although they're both matte shades, I feel like Sultry exemplified this finish much more and it ends up a lot darker than you expect. The main things I don't like is the minty taste/scent it really makes me uncomfortable although I'm sure I'm in the minority there and the fact the lid isn't clicky. I know that's pedantic but from experience I know this is just going to fall off in my bag and a mess with ensue. Neither of these things would put me off but I just thought I'd flag them, for £7.99 I'll take it.

I'd wear Complex with a fresh summery makeup look, with rosy cheeks. I'd wear Sultry with a vampy smoky eye.

Have  you tried these crayons? They're actually my first Revlon purchase and I'm pretty chuffed with them. Let me know what I should try next in the comments.

Until next time!
