Estée Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick- Pink Parfait (Shimmer) | Review & Swatches

Estée Lauder, Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick, Pink Parfait, Shimmer, Pink, review, swatches

I mentioned earlier in the month that I got a couple of freebies when I bought these amazing base products from Estee Lauder. I've wanted to try one for a while but the £21 price tag made me a little hesitant. The shade that came in the gift was 'Pink Parfait' which was a shimmer shade which is something I would usually stay away from in a lipstick and for good reason.

What I'd really take away from this is that I love the formula, a really moisturising pop of colour and it was very long lasting and easy to apply. The packaging on the full size product is also typical luxe gold Estee Lauder style and just looks beautiful.

Personally I didn't get on with this shade. I would say it's almost beyond shimmer to frosted which is just that bit too 90's. The cool tone of the pink with my already cool toned skin is just not for me. I think if I were to buy one I'd go for one of their creme finishes because when you're spending £21 on a lipstick you don't want it to date. I would love to own one just to have it but honestly I think MAC does just as good of a job for five less precious pounds.

So to sum up, the lipstick? YES if I'm feeling flush! Pink Parfait? Hells to the no. I'm really enjoying trying out this stuff and sharing with you. I'll be giving the mascara a go next.

What shade would you recommend in this lipstick? Let me know in the comments.

Thanks for reading.

  1. The colour is beautiful but I tend to prefer lipsticks without shimmer. :)

This is a gorgeous shade, but I prefer matte lipsticks! xxx

Yes it looks like it has very frosty finish, maybe try adding some lip gloss on top of it? :)
