The Christmas Tag

primark, let it snow, baubles, snow, silver, white, purple tinsel, christmas tag

As it's the last week in November I think I'm in suitable territory to start with the Chrismas posts. I saw this fun tag on Beauty Junkie London's blog and wanted to give it a try so without further adieu I'll get started.

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
Hmm... Not into properly cheesy family type stuff. I'd have to say without a shadow of a doubt it's Love Actually (the bit where he comes to Keira Knightley's door makes me melt every time). Muppets Christmas Carol is also essential watching.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
I really don't know what this Christmas Eve crazy talk is but because my parents are divorced we have two Christmasses and open presents from which ever person we see, when we see them. And then one each usually get's saved for Boxing Day. I think there's enough excitement on CE you don't need to start the prezzies early :-)

4. Favourite festive food?
I absolutely love all Christmas food but if we're talking Christmas dinner it has to be pigs in blankets (why don't we have them any other time of year?!). I have also been known to raid the ferrero rochers because my mum is a teacher we always have loads around this time of year.

5. Favourite Christmas gift?

Thats hard because they've each meant something to me at different times. My boyfriend got me a Michael Kors watch last Christmas which is probably my most treasured possession I can't think of a time when I won't love it. Also my little sister was born two weeks before Christmas in 2001, so I remember that being a pretty good present at the time!

6. Favourite Christmas scent?
Controversial but I'm not too keen on many Christmas scents because I HATE cinnamon. But I've recently got into Yankee Candles, and their snowflake cookie one is heaven. I also enjoy the smell of mulled wine because it reminds me of some good times.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
I've worked in pubs/restaurants/bars since I was 14 so I don't remember ever being free to make my own traditions. I do really enjoy a busy shift on Christmas Eve though because everyone is in really high spirits (and feeling generous!) then by the time I'm home the big day is nearly here.

8. What tops your tree?
This is the first year I've had my own tree so I'm planning to go Star. It was always a super ugly angel in my family home, one year I made wings (from toilet paper) for my 'bride barbie' and tried to convince my parents to stick her on top of the tree. They didn't.

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
Hmm, it was Dream Phone for a long time but my parents randomly got it for me when I was like 14 (I still played it). I think this is going to be a common answer, it wasn't crazy, wild or extravagant but I ALWAYS and I mean every year that I can remember put a Mr Frosty on my Christmas list but it never came :( I've gone on to have two boyfriends with the surname Frost so maybe that makes up for it?

10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
I love working and helping so many people enjoy their Christmas parties and seeing everyone in such good spirits. I love the rubbish pop music, the sparkley EVERYTHING, making people you love feel special and having time to come home and see them all. My favourite Christmas days are when I visit my aunty and we play board games, eat great food beside her enormous tree and chill in her hot tub!

So that's just about Christmas summed up for me, I'm rarely as excited as I am this year for the big day so expect more festivity where this came from. I tag everyone reading who wants to do it - if you do leave me a link - I love reading about other people's Chrismasses!

Thanks for reading!
