My MAC lipstick collection

A MAC lipstick is an essential addition to any makeup lovers collection. Perhaps the single most hyped product, they have a shade for every person and every mood. For me the formula is consistently excellent, the packaging is sleek so in a short time I've amassed a collection I'm proud of.

The reds (and purple)

Ruby Woo was my first MAC purchase because instantly I was drawn to what a statement lip it created. It can be quite hard to work with but I think the punch it packs is worth it. It's my go to power lip. Lady Danger is another which draws a lot of attention and I think it makes the teeth look great - still matte but I find it a lot more workable than RW. The other three come out less frequently - SC for when I want something more muted and Morange is when I'm matching to something specific. I bought Heroine on a whim and since I wore it for this post I haven't really tried again because I don't think it works with my colouring and hair at the moment.

The rest

These are more the shades I go to everyday - particularly cult favourite Velvet Teddy and my personal favourite Mehr. They're just so easy to wear and are different without being statement. They
embody the 90's matte that I love. Girl About Town is a colour I don't get the courage to wear often, but I really like it with my hair at the moment. Shy Girl and Pink Nouveau tend to stay in the drawer as they're both very cool toned for me and cremesheen finishes aren't my favourite but I like to save them for a rainy day.

So there we have it - I know it's not as big as some bloggers out there but before I started this blog I didn't even have one so I feel like I've come a long way. I'm wanting to add some more pinky colours into the collection and stray from my usual favourite matte finish.

What's your favourite MAC colour? If you've posted about your collection, leave your link below I'd love to see your post.

Until next time!

  2. I'm ashamed to say I still don't have a single Mac lipstick. I've been after Velvet Teddy for ages but I just haven't got round to saving up the money.
