Sleek were the first drugstore brand I noticed really bringing something brilliant to the world of contouring. Once a thing of Kimmy K - their contour palette brought cheek bones to the every day girl for the bargainous price of under a tenner. After getting on well with their contour kit, I was excited to discover a newer Sleek Makeup offering in the shape of this Face Form Palette - it kind of reminded me of Urban Decay's Naked Flushed but for a much more friendly price tag.

This palette was available in four shades, but only Light and Medium were in stock at my time of buying and with the only difference appearing to be the bronzer I opted for light. Now getting down to it the highlight as with the CK is excellent, really catches the light perfectly, blends in well and just gives a gorgeous glow to the face. The blush appears to be in the shade Rose Gold which I actually already have and love on it's own (little tip - drugstore dupe for Nars Orgasm!) - it's the perfect warm pink with just a slight gold shimmer running through. The bronzer let the palette down - although it was the perfectly matte for contour - the pigmentation was not great and blended away to practically nothing. Where in the CK I'd had the medium shade and found it a little muddy, I didn't really notice this on my skin at all and where I did it was a little orange.

Now I think where you tell the bargain from the big bucks is in the lasting factor and in this area this palette fell down a bit. The contour shade was gone before we even began and within a few hours so was the blush and the highlight. For £9.99 if you need something handy for on the move this will do the job but actually for me already having the blush and the contour kit this was a bit unnecessary. I actually wish they sold the highlight alone because I'm pretty sure that's what I'll hit pan on. So my verdict? Will have it's uses, but definitely not essential owning.

Have you tried the Face Form palette ? Is there something else I should be trying from Sleek? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time!

  1. I have this in my handbag at all times, it's SO handy.
Sleek lipsticks are also pretty good, so are the idevine palettes.

  2. Ahh, such a shame about the rubbish bronzer! Seems like they've kind of just lumped a few products together, which is no bad thing if someone is like me and doesn't have the contour kit or the blush, but doesn't sound so good for you.
